The SFTE EC Jesualdo Martinez Award In Flight Testing has been created to commemorate our colleague and board member Jesualdo Martines Rodanes, who tragically deceased in the accident of A400M MSN 23, in Seville in May 2015.
During this year’s SFTE EC symposium the board of directors presented all proposals it received for the new-logo-contest.
Congratulations to Sebastian Burwitz, who was officially awarded on 29 June 2016 for winning the new-logo-contest 2016 of the Society of Flight Test Engineers – European Chapter. He submitted his proposal of a clear, compact, obvious, intuitive design. Sebastian’s proposal meets perfectly the announcement’s requirement to make reference to the original international SFTE logo. Furthermore, it clearly reflects the connection to Europe by making use of the iconic symbol of yellow stars on blue ground found in the European flag. The SFTE European Chapter’s board of directors expresses its gratitude to Sebastian’s great idea and honors his effort for a recognisable, easily understandable appearance we can be proud of.
